LIGALA operates as a creative community inspiring socio-cultural, governance and economic discourse and action through art, creativity, technology and innovation.
Philosophy
LIGALA believes that creativity, art and artistic expression shapes cultures (values) and epistemologies of communities thus influencing behavioural change through strategic sensitisation and education.
LIGALA’s philosophy is anchored on the power of art, creativity and innovation in transforming societies, and on the idea that the freedom to create and co-create is critical in generating sustainable and innovative solutions to some of the challenges among communities and groups we work with.
At LIGALA, we work with youth, women and creatives (new and established) to empower community voices through creative and innovative techniques and believes in supporting talent and skills not only as cultural tools but also as commercial.
Our Vision:
We envision a society where creativity and art make a difference in the lives of the people through innovative solutions that transform lives.
Our Mission
To enhance the well-being of communities through creative and innovative means and to support art and creativity as a significant pillar of community transformation.
